EDV Result 2023

The announcement date for the DV Lottery 2024 result will be May 6, 2024, at noon Washington DC time.

How to check EDV result 2023 (step by step)

Click “Check Status”

Click “Continue”

Enter the information needed as shown in the image below

A page will appear with your result. Different results may be displayed depending on whether you are selected, not selected or you have entered the information incorrectly.

1) THE INFORMATION ENTERED IS NOT VALID
The information entered is invalid this message means that you have entered one or more incorrect information. So first check the confirmation number and name if they are correct. Sometimes a number 0 (zero) can be confused with the capital letter O or vice versa.

2) CANDIDATE HAS NOT BEEN SELECTED
You are not selected; the process stops here for you. Hopefully, in the next DV, you will have more chances.

3) CANDIDATE HAS BEEN SELECTED
You are selected, and you are one of the lucky winners of the DV Lottery. you’ll receive congratulations dv lottery selected message!

Each person selected is given a number (or Case Number), according to the order of the lottery. And the first thing to do is to look at it since it will determine the order of passage to the embassy. Here is an example: 2022AF000012658. This means that you have participated in DV2023, that you are registered for the Africa quota, and most importantly… that your number is 12658. The lower this number is, the more likely you are to get an interview quickly at the embassy and get your Green Card. (If you meet all the requirements of course).
